IPStyle Managing Partner Mariya Ortynska has been appointed as a member of the Geographic Indications Committee of the International Trademark Association (INTA). Mariya’s duties as a member of the Committee will last from January 1, 2020, until December 31, 2021.
The Committee on Geographical Indications develops and defends the Association’s policy related to GIs, in particular, their connection with trademark rights. Mariya will take part in the work of the Committee, which includes monitoring the development of treaties, legislation and practice at the international, regional and national levels; full analysis and preparation of proposals for further policies of the Association Council.
