This project by World Trademark Review is based on two rankings - WTR 1000 and WTR 300 - and recognizes the best of the best in trademark practice in more than 80 key jurisdictions around the world.
As part of the project, the editors conducted interviews with market leaders over several months. Only those experts who received multiple nominations from colleagues at other firms were included in the rankings. The researchers note that inclusion in the rankings "reflects top-tier status in the corporate brand environment."
"The individuals who feature in this year’s WTR Global Leaders merit special attention owing not only to their expertise and experience in creating, protecting, managing and enforcing essential brand rights, but also to their ability to innovate, inspire and go above and beyond to deliver for their clients," the WTR Global Leaders researchers noted.
